For when you were baptized, you were buried with Christ, and in baptism you were also raised in Christ.
— Colossians 2:12

What is baptism?

It illustrates Christ’s burial and resurrection—it illustrates your new life as a Christian. Baptism doesn’t make you a believer, it just declares that you already believe. Baptism does not save you—only your faith in Christ does that. Baptism is like a wedding ring—it’s the outward symbol of the commitment you make in your heart.

Who should be baptized?

Every person who has believed in Christ.

If you were baptized when younger, but walked away from God for a season of your life, you are welcome to be baptized again to display your new commitment.

When can I get baptized?

Baptisms happen every first Wednesday of every month at 7:00 PM during our Night of Worship. We ask that everyone who wants to be baptized at Northwood Church attend the baptism class prior to Night of Worship that night. The class starts at 6:30 PM in our main Worship Center.
