Frequently Asked Questions:

  • In total, a Northwood worship experience is about 65 minutes in length. Experiences begin with the Northwood band leading the church in music — song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. After the music portion of the experience is finished, one of our pastors will come out to share an encouraging and hope-filled message about Jesus.

  • We want to create an atmosphere where as many people as possible can meet and experience God. The music is modern and designed to allow you to participate in worship in a way that suits you.

Our messages are modeled to be Scripture based, culturally relevant, and immediately applicable. We speak to all who would listen, rich or poor, black or white, all are welcome.

  • Dress comfortably, and be yourself. Jeans, chinos, slacks, dresses, skirts, or even suits are all fine by us. We are far more concerned with what happens on the inside of people rather than their external appearance or what they wear to church.

  • Kids ministry is offered every Sunday morning at both service times for ages 6 weeks - 4th grade.

We believe church should be a fun and safe place where kids can learn more about Jesus no matter their age. Because of that, we have developed fun environments that your kids will have a hard time leaving. We also have a detailed, secure check-in process. You’ll want to leave yourself an extra ten minutes on your first visit to get signed in for the Northwood Kids experience. Kids that are in 6 weeks-2nd grade meet in the Kids building, and kids that are in 3rd and 4th grade meet in The Extension building.

  • We have an age-appropriate environment for your kids in 5th and 6th grade! They can join us in Northwood Youth every Sunday at both service times in The Extension. There will be games, teaching, as well as small group time.
