What is upGrade?

upGrade is when kids and students move up one grade.

Sunday, June 1st, rising K - 6th graders will move up a grade for upGrade Sunday.

For many kids, this will only mean the grade on their tag will change; however, for rising K, 3rd, and 6th graders, the location will change, so read below for all the info.

Sunday Locations

  • 6 weeks - 5 years old: Building C Preschool

  • K - 2nd Grade: Building C Auditorium

  • 3rd - 5th Grade: Building A Auditorium

  • 6th - 12th grade: Building B Auditorium

More Details by Age/Grade

  • Kids Jr. meets in the Preschool wing of the Kids building.

    Unless your child is going into Kindergarten, you won’t have any changes to their normal classroom.

  • Northwood Kids (K - 2nd) meets in the Kids Auditorium.

    Parent Preview Day

    Join us in the Kids Auditorium on May 18 during the 9:00 or 11:00 am service to get a preview of Northwood Kids and help ease your child into their new environment.

  • Northwood Kids (3rd - 5th) meets in the Extension Auditorium.

  • Northwood Youth (6th-12th) meets in the Main Auditorium.

    Rising 6th Graders: Middle School Hangs
    Students entering middle school in the fall will be in Northwood Youth. Throughout the summer and fall semester, middle school students are invited to join us on the last Sunday of each month for Middle School Hangs. These nights are aimed at fostering connections and community with peers and the Youth team. Parents will also be invited to most of these events providing an opportunity for building community and connection. Sign ups will go out in weekly communications. 

    Middle & High Schoolers: Summer Nights
    Students who will be in middle or high school in the fall are invited to attend Summer Nights starting on June 4th-July 16th. These nights will consist of a youth service with worship and the Word followed by games and food! The conclusion of our Summer Nights will wrap on the 16th of July with a worship night. Unlike the school year, these nights will be from 7p-10p, which is a little later than usual.Youth will kick back on Wednesday, August 6 with doors opening at 6:30p, service starting at 7p, and pick-up at 8:30p.
