Carly Carter

Worship Pastor

Carlynn Carter is passionate about Jesus, her family, deep friendships, and empowering others to step into their God-given gifts. After volunteering for years as a musician and vocalist on the Northwood Church Worship team, she now has the honor of leading the team as Worship Pastor.

Before stepping into ministry full-time, Carlynn earned a BA in Computer Science from the College of Charleston and spent five years teaching high school computer science while also coaching swim. Though her career path shifted, her love for leading and investing in others has remained central to her calling.

Outside of ministry, Carlynn enjoys writing, being outdoors, working out, and spending time with her husband, Hunter, and their son, Brixton. She loves the people she serves with, the heart and care of Northwood’s leadership, and the privilege of worshiping alongside an incredible team and congregation each week. She holds onto Romans 5:6-8, a passage that reminds her of the depth of God’s love.

Fun facts: Carlynn is an avid Lego builder with a growing collection, and she also loves playing video games!
